Refund Transfer by SBTPG: A Simple, Optional Way to Handle Tax‑Season Costs

Updated: 4 days ago

When tax season arrives, dealing with complicated refund processes can be stressful. That’s why I want to let you know about Refund Transfer by SBTPG—a service designed to make your tax refund experience smoother and more convenient. While it’s not required, it can help simplify your tax filing process by removing an extra step. Let’s take a closer look at what Refund Transfer is, how it works, and how it could make filing easier for you.

What Is Refund Transfer by SBTPG and How Does It Work?

Refund Transfer by SBTPG is an optional service that gives you a flexible way to handle tax-season costs. Instead of paying tax preparation fees upfront, you can choose to have those fees taken out of your refund after the IRS releases it. It’s simply one of several ways to manage your refund and payment process, offering a convenient alternative for those who prefer to keep their out-of-pocket expenses low during tax time.

How Refund Transfer Works

Here’s how it works in simple steps:

  1. You file your taxes with North County Mobile Notary and Tax.

  2. You choose Refund Transfer as your payment option.

  3. Before deducting your tax preparation fees, a fee of $44.95 is charged by SBTPG, with an additional $16.95 for subsequent filings in the same return. For a federal filing and one state filing, the total fee deducted by SBTPG is $61.90.

  4. The remaining refund is then sent to SBTPG, who deducts the tax preparation fees.

  5. Tax preparation fees are sent directly to NCMN.net.

  6. The remaining refund amount (original amount - SBTPG fees & tax preparation fees) is refunded to you via direct deposit or prepaid debit card, whichever suits you best.

I haven’t offered this service in the past due to the additional fees charged by SBTPG, but I want to make it available for clients who feel it fits their needs. If this sounds like something you’d like to explore, I’m here to help you with the process.

Why Consider Refund Transfer?

This service is simply an option available for anyone who feels it might make tax season a little easier. There’s no expectation or recommendation to use it—just a flexible choice you can consider if it fits your needs. If you decide it’s something you’d like to move forward with, I’m here to guide you through it.

Benefits of Using Refund Transfer

Using Refund Transfer can provide several benefits:

  • Reduced Upfront Costs: You don't have to pay for tax preparation upfront. This can ease financial pressure during tax season.

  • Convenience: The fees are deducted from your refund, simplifying the payment process.

  • Flexibility: You can choose how to receive your remaining refund, whether by direct deposit or prepaid debit card.

Is Refund Transfer Right for You?

Deciding whether to use Refund Transfer depends on your personal financial situation. If you prefer to minimize out-of-pocket expenses during tax season, this option could be beneficial. However, if you prefer to pay upfront and avoid any additional fees, you might choose to handle your tax preparation differently.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Refund Transfer by SBTPG offers a flexible and convenient way to manage your tax preparation fees. It’s designed to make your tax filing experience smoother and less stressful.
